Attention Pool Permit Holders:

As you may be aware, the Toronto Star published an article on August 26, 2011 on the Health and Safety infractions found in Toronto pools from 2009-2010. Please be assured this data is aged and in no way affects the current Health and Safety status in TDSB pools. All TDSB Pool Operators are internally certified and take all necessary precautions to ensure TDSB pools meet Health and Safety requirements. All TDSB Pool Operators test and monitor pool mechanical equipment and pool water chemistry every 2 hours to ensure all parameters of a safe pool are met before opening pools to swimmers. All surfaces of the pool deck, walls and pool tank are maintained in a sanitary condition and free from hazard and/or hazardous obstructions.

The article published in no way affects your permits or the safety of your students. All permits will continue as scheduled.
